Inauguration Tickets

Hello Friends -

I wanted to post a quick update after a story in the TC Palm earlier this week about tickets to the Inauguration of our 44th President.

We have had tremendous response from individuals across District 15 over the last few weeks and certainly since this most recent story. Requests have now far surpassed the number of tickets that our office has to distribute (which was fewer than 200).

The response has been unbelievable. Regardless of their individual political beliefs, many constituents are excited at the opportunity to even be near this Historic event. Many are hoping to take their children.

Adding even more excitement to the day, the Inaugural Committee has chosen the theme “A New Birth of Freedom” to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. I have no doubt the inaugural ceremony will be one of the most memorable in our nation’s history.

For those requests we are unable to accommodate and for the many individuals still hoping to head to DC for the festivities, please stay tuned to the official website: http://inaugural.senate.gov. I have heard they are expecting a crowd so large that the non-ticketed guests will undoubtedly fill the National Mall and line the streets for the parade.

I wish we could accommodate more constituents with their requests for tickets, but I am positive that everyone who visits DC will have a memorable trip no matter what!
