McCain’s Straight Talk Express rolls into BCC

Space: It’s an issue of national security

Sen. Bill Posey, who sat in on the roundtable with Sen. John McCain this morning said he was relieved to learn that McCain knew so much about space. He also was relieved that McCain understands the relationship between space and national security.

“Whoever dominates space will dominate the security on this planet,” Posey said. “Everyone knows the Chinese are not going to the moon just to collect rocks. Imagine yielding that kind of power to the Chinese or the Russians.”

Posey admired McCain’s willingness to speed up the space program to eliminate the gap of flying manned missions into space after the shuttle program shuts down.

“John McCain has always been a supporter of the space program and this is abt national security,” Posey said.
