Melbourne - For the third time in less than a month, Senator Bill Posey has been honored for supporting business in the Florida Legislature.  The Florida Chamber of Commerce today released their How They Voted: An Overview of the 2008 Legislative Session and Legislative Report Card.  Senator Posey was one of 14 Legislators named 2008 Distinguished Advocates for championing the Chamber’s 2008 Florida’s Business Agenda, which included priorities such as a landmark economic stimulus package and energy solutions for the state of Florida.

Last week, BIPAC, the Business Industry Political Action Committee, announced they are endorsing Bill Posey for Congress.  An independent, bipartisan organization,BIPAC does not lobby, but assists businesses and their organizations to find and elect pro-prosperity candidates at the state and federal level.

“Bill Posey brings an impeccable record to the table,” said Gregory S. Casey, President and CEO of BIPAC.  “Having served in both the Florida House of Representatives and Florida State Senate, he understands the importance of pro-prosperity issues and has worked hard to ensure business voices in Florida are heard.”

On May 15th, Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) named Bill Posey one of their 2008 Champions for Business.  The award recipients are chosen for their dedication to Florida’s prosperous future and support for initiatives which will help to jump-start the economy and encourage business growth.
