Posey to host hurricane preparedness forum June 30

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY—Congressman Bill Posey, R-Rockledge, will host a hurricane preparedness forum from 2 to 4 p.m. June 30 at the Indian River County Commission Chambers, 1801 27th St., Building A, Vero Beach.

There will be information and resources from local, state and federal emergency managers on how families and business can prepare for the 2009 hurricane season, including presentations by American Red Cross, Indian River County Emergency Management, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Florida Division of Emergency Management, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Small Business Development Center.

Posey and his casework staff will also meet with residents regarding issues they might have with federal agencies or programs, from noon to 1:30 p.m. June 30 at The Richardson Center, Indian River State College, Mueller Campus, 6155 College Lane, Vero Beach.
