U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, for the third time, is hosting a Space Coast entrepreneur summit meant to shine a spotlight on innovative local businesses and facilitate their connections with potential investors.

Allan Riggs, president of InfraTech LLC, a Cocoa-based company, is one of five businesses to be represented at the summit. He said he appreciates the visibility.

“The summit is important to me because our company gets access to a larger audience than we can get on our own,” Riggs said.

Riggs plans to display his company’s Versa-Power product at the summit, an e nvironmentally friendly, lightweight, high- density fuel cell.

“The Summit has been an outstanding opportunity for entrepreneurs to highlight new ventures,” Victoria Peake, director of the Small Business Development Center at Brevard Community College, said in a statement.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the Hartley Room at the Denius Student Center of Florida Tech. It’s Posey’s fourth entrepreneur event overall, with one happening in Osceola County.

“These forums provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their new products and innovative technologies to the public and potential investors,” said Posey, R-Rockledge.

Tuesday’s agenda includes a keynote address by Posey and presentations by InfraTech and the four other local companies.

• Lumin Creative, Melbourne.

Carol Craig, president and chief executive officer of Craig Technologies, will be the main guest speaker.Other speakers include representatives from the Florida Venture Forum, Melbourne Regional

Chamber of East Central Florida, Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce and Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.Networking begins 8 a.m. The main program begins an hour later.
