Posey Receives Award from Seniors Association, Earns Praise from Pat Boone
Oct 26, 2010
MELBOURNE, FL – Congressman Bill Posey has been awarded the “Guardian of Senior’s Right’s” by the non-partisan 60 Plus Association and has earned praise from actor and recording artist Pat Boone, who serves as the organizations national spokesperson.
“Bill Posey can always be counted on to protect Social Security and Medicare,” Boone said in a statement. “Bill Posey will be a tax cutter, protecting the pocket books of senior citizens. 60 Plus calls on nearly 5.5 million seniors nationally for support, so I believe I can speak on behalf of seniors when I say that they can count on Bill Posey. Clearly, seniors will have no finer friend in Congress than Bill Posey.”
“It’s a privilege to receive this award for standing up for senior citizens,” said Posey. “When people spend their entire lives working and saving for retirement, we have an obligation to ensure those promises that were made are kept.”
